The new project to be launched by GoParity in partnership with SOLVasto (co-funder of the project) consists of the installation of a 49kWp photovoltaic power plant at AMINATA Évora Clube de Natação (a non-profit public utility). The system will be installed by Redeforte and will produce an average of 81.1 MWh of energy per year and avoid the emission of approximately 35 tons of CO2 per year.
AMINATA was founded on October 7, 1982 and is dedicated to promoting the practice of swimming in its various sports, such as free swimming, water polo, triathlon and synchronized swimming. Located in Évora, the association was born from the desire of athletes to practice water sports and today has a very important role in the local community with the offer of sport and leisure, proudly representing the city in several national competitions. Since early that it is concerned with the environment, having installed in 2009 a solar thermal system for heating the water of showers, and more recently the pool, making good use of the abundant Alentejo´s sun. Following this policy now they will install a solar photovoltaic system for electricity production. This project already has a license to produce and sell electricity to the grid with a guaranteed tariff for a period of 15 years.
